As the NYPD officers are arresting participants, the crowds are shouting, "PEACE! PEACE! PEACE" and "Let him go!" and "The People united will never be defeated!" AWESOME!!!

They even show a video of some of the arrestees and showing their injuries and telling their stories.

They have the phone number for the National Lawyers Coalition: 212-679-6018, for anyone who gets arrested.

Occupy Colleges 10/05

Thursday is a big day for the Occupy movements around the United States and around the world. But it's not just the corruption of mortgages and healthcare that has people taking to the peaceful sit-ins in droves.

October 5th and 6th will also be Occupy Colleges Day, an event for college students around the country to publicly rebuke the college creditor system. With the exorbitant cost of a four-year degree, college students will protest the financially-crippling situation find themselves in due to 4 or more years of student loans coupled with the high interest rates. Add to that the scarcity of jobs once they are out of college, one begins to wonder what is the point of getting a college degree... except that it seems you have to be a college graduate to flip burgers nowadays.

Really? Go $150,000 in debt to make minimum wage of $7.85 per hour?  If you're lucky enough to find a job???

Find your nearest Occupy College on October 5th and then scout out the huge Occupy events happening in major cities around the U.S. and the world on Thursday, October 6th.

Shows To Be Announced Soon

Change is under way! The first few shows of The Activists Voice will be announced shortly. Stay tuned!

Welcome to The Activists' Voice with Trish Causey

My name is Trish Causey, and I am an activist artist. I already have a successful radio show, Musical Theatre Talk with Trish Causey. But I needed more. So I just started this new radio show concept today — coincidentally on Gandhi’s birthday… but I don’t believe in coincidence.

Musical Theatre and standing up for Human Rights is just something I’ve done since I was a kid. Every show or script I write deals with one human rights issue or another. My particular favorites are the protection of the First Amendment, Women’s Rights, LGBT rights, Sexual Equality, even Fire Fighters’ issues (and annoying the religious right-wing nuts).

So in order to fulfill the other side of me (the activist part) more, I’ve started this new radio show called The Activists’ Voice with Trish Causey. I will cover every topic I want to cover, topics the audience suggests, and whatever else we need to cover to get the blinders off the sleeping American public, zombies parading as “patriots” who have believed the propaganda of America’s marketing, corrupt political leaders, religious zealots, pharmacological drug pushers, food supply poisoners, and all the others who have made America comatose to her raison d’etre and her Constitution.

So be warned. It won’t always be pretty, but it is most definitely needed.

Be the change. Be heard.
